India Energy Efficiency Project
Developed a demonstration of energy projects and presented technical seminars at Mumbai and Delhi, India. Secured sponsorship and funding from US-AEP/ US-AID, to conduct demonstration of energy efficiency projects and technical workshops in India. Installed demonstrative energy efficient electronic ballast, occupancy sensor and window films. Our partners for this project were Magnetek, Watt stopper, Lighting Controls and Design, Johnson Window Films, Energy Optimization and Advanced Energy Solutions.

Efficient Lighting Initiative Program, India
Performed a scouting mission for the International Finance Corporation, the private lending arm of the World Bank, to identify and develop key program components for the Efficient Lighting Initiative (ELI) Program for India. Met with the key decision-makers in both the government and the private sector to identify key program components and develop implementation strategy. The Program was designed to bring about a market transformation in the manufacture and use of CFL lamps and other energy efficient lighting technologies. The project received $8.0 million funding from the Global Environmental Facility
(GEF).

DSM Energy Efficiency Study for Kolkata Municipal Corporation
The project was a World Bank funded project to identify energy efficiency opportunities and develop DSM guidelines for various water pumping and sewerage stations at Kolkata Water Supply Corporation. Assisted Hagler Bailly in identifying energy efficiency opportunities at these pumping stations and in developing Demand Side Management strategies for the Kolkata Municipal Corporation.

India Energy Efficiency Workshop
GES, in collaboration with the California Energy Commission (CEC), lead an energy efficiency mission to India in June 1998. The Ministry of Power, Government of India, co-hosted the workshops and seminars. Currently involved in developing performance-contracting programs with hotels. Evaluating Energy Efficiency and Renewable energy projects for CEC efficiency projects in India.

Energy Demonstration at Hotel Soaltee and Energy Seminar in Nepal
Working on a demonstration project for energy efficiency and technical seminars at Kathmandu, Nepal. Secured sponsorship and funding from US-AEP/US-AID, to conduct demonstration of energy efficiency projects and technical workshops in Nepal. Presently working on a performance contract for Hotel chains in Nepal. Developing energy efficiency project for Hotel Soaltee a five star project in Nepal. |

India Micro Turbine (MT) for Biogas to Energy Application Project
GES funded by CSG/USAID conducted a feasibility study for application of MT's for Biogas to energy generation. The study and a seminar in Kolkata along with Brown Vence and Associates resulted in the state agency WBREDA signing a MOU with Capstone turbine of USA and installing two 30 KW MT's as a pilot demonstration.

Jamaica Energy Efficiency Project
Developed a demonstration of energy projects and technical workshop series for Jamaica. Secured sponsorship and funding from the California Energy Commission and US-AID, to conduct a demonstration of energy efficiency projects and technical workshops in Jamaica. Conducted a field audit of commercial office and a furniture manufacturing facility. The project is co-sponsored by the Jamaica Promotions, and the University of Technology (UTECH), Jamaica. Currently working on an energy efficiency seminar series with UTECH, Jamaica. |
